On the line Split – Ancona, ferries of the Blue Line have transported about 160 000 passengers in the past year, and for this year are expecting growth of 20 000 passengers.
With the purchase of the ferry “Pomerania”, which will sail on this international line under the name “Dalmatia”, “Blue Line” concluded the renewal of the fleet, which was started last year with the sale of the ferries “Split 1700″ and “Ancona” and the acquisition of the “Regina della Pace”.
Arrives the new ferry of the company “BLUE LINE”
Since April, Split and Ancona will be connected by the ferry with disco and casino.
The ship will start sailing at the day when is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the apparitions in Medjugorje, and just the Italian pilgrims are the most loyal passengers of the Blue Line. So, for this reason we decided to offer them and also to young passengers, many on-board services as are restaurants, bars, disco, casino, duty free shop and chapel. The new vessel has the advantage of having the outside deck and is completely protected from wind and rain, so that young passengers have one more place for fun during night navigation.
On the line between Split and Ancona, on the beginning of April begins to navigate the new company’s ferry in the fleet “Blue Line International”, which will be called probably “Dalmatia”.
The vessel is 127.2 meters long and 21.7 meters wide. It can accommodate a thousand of passengers which have the availability of 480 cabins, 273 cars and 26 trucks, which is extremely important for our target market in Italy and Croatia.
Timetable
The new winter route of the “Blue Line” has three departures a week of the ferry “Regina della Pace” from Split to Ancona, and from our city on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 20.30, and from the opposite shore of the Adriatic on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 20.30. From 4 April should begin to navigate the ferry “Dalmatia”, so that, there will be the ferry line every day from Split to Ancona at 20.30 h, except on Saturday from our city, and on Sunday from Ancona.
Terminating the ferry route from Ancona to Zadar, in Split remains
The published itinerary is valid until 31 December 2010 and from 1 October, in the part where is no route to Zadar anymore, remained the international routes Split – Ancona and Dubrovnik – Bari.
On the route from Split, the number of passengers has increased, but the number of vehicles decreased by 6%. From Split recently, the daily connection with the city of Ancona keeps the new, large capacity ferry “Regina della Pace ” of the company “Blue Line”.

From Norway to Montenegro, the more precise in the shipyard in Bijela, in recent days has departed 140 meters long, the ferry “Kongshavn”, new one in the Blue Line International” fleet.
In this season, will replace the ferry “Split 1700” on the international route Split – Ancona.
With the arrival of the powerful and big “Kongshavn”, the company “Blue Line” doesn’t need the “Split 1700″ and “Ancona” any more.
The new ferry has a capacity of 1,700 passengers and 550 cars and was built in the finnish shipyard “Wartsila Abo” in 1979. Through career, this ferry had several names. Its first shipping company was Viking Line, for which has been christened with the name “Turelli. In the late 80′s was called the “Stena Nordica” and sailed for the “Stena Line “. In the middle 90’s changed its name to “Lion King” and was sailing under the flag of the company “Lion Ferry”. Since the late 90’s until 2008 changed lot of shipping companies, but its name “Fantasy” remained unchanged at that time.
It was called “Kongshavn” when the “Blue Line International” bought it.
MS Regina Della Pace
MS Regina Della Pace is a cruiseferry owned by the Croatia-based ferry operator Blue Line International,[4]and operated on their service between Split and Ancona. She was built in 1979 as MS Turella by Wärtsilä Turku, Finland for SF Line.
2010 onwards: Blue Line service
On 23 December 2009 the Croatian ferry operator Blue Line International was reported to have purchased the Kongshavn, with intention of using her on their service between Ancona and Split.[4] Blue Line took delivery of the ship on 17 March 2010, renamed her Regina Della Pace and initially re-registered her under the Maltese flag. Prior to entering service with Blue Line on 19 April 2010 the Regina Della Pace was re-registered to Panama.
